We need your support so that we can provide
short-term therapy for those in crisis,
including youth, victims of intimate partner violence,
and police brutality.
We are offering a bit of creative activism as a commitment to forging a culture that is fairer and more compassionate to all. By prioritizing mental health support for others, we recognize that the well-being of individuals is interconnected. Self care IS community care.

The LBT Mental Health Fund is inspired by Tanisha’s mentors in the fields of social work and arts and culture: the late Sippo Small, LCSW a psychotherapist and facilitator of the Diversity in Social Work Program at the Ackerman Institute for the Family; the late Rebecca Rice, theater artist-activist-educator-cultural worker; and Willie Tolliver, MSW, DSW, founder of the Social Practice Lab that teachers social worker students about the praxis of anti-racism and anti-oppression in the Silberman School of Social Work work at Hunter College.
