    We currently operate in a hybrid work environment meeting the needs of clients. Scheduling clients remains more flexible for you and them.

    You are a someone who is a:

    1. LMSWs, LSWs and MHC interns seeking experience to advance their clinical skills in a private setting and desire to work in a group practice environment.

    2. LMSWs, LSWs and MHC interns who are interested in working privately, but don’t want to independently manage the administrative side of being in private practice.

    3. LMSWs, LSWs and MHC interns who want to accrue clinical hours in a private setting.

    4. A self-starter who values therapeutic work and wants to be in a communal environment where you are valued.

    5. Has an interdisciplinary therapeutic practice, with some skills and training already accessed.

    The work with US:

    1. Provides therapy services to a caseload minimum 15-20 clients a week.

    2. Availability for some evenings and/or weekends to maximize meeting client scheduling needs.

    3. Consultations with your clients to determine fit.

    4. Maintaining case notes, logs and all required documentation.

    5. Participates in weekly tailored individual and group clinical supervision and quarterly meetings.

    6. Assists in creation and implementation of workshops, trainings and seminars, as opportunities arise

    7. Marketing tasks for yourself.

    Requirements:

    1. Has a LMSW, LSWs MHC interns and be licensed in New York or New Jersey.

    2. Education, training, and interest in implementing modalities, such as EMDR, Family therapy, CBT, IFS, mindfulness treatments, trauma-informed practices, somatic treatments, creative practices, liberation-based modalities, psychodynamic or ketamine-assisted psychotherapy; with an interest in continued learning.

    3. At least 1 year of experience in diagnosis, assessment, treatment planning, and providing psychotherapy and/or direct client contact. A necessity for insurance-based clients.

    4. A desire to commit to a minimum of 2 years with us. We are looking for therapists who want a place to grow and flourish with like-minded colleagues.

    5. Be available to meet client’s scheduling needs which might include at least 1 weekend day, early mornings, and evenings.

    6. For those seeking to do couple/family or multi partner work, at least 2 years of experience in providing couples, multiple partner relationships and/or family therapy (Training settings are ok).

    7. Must be versed in BIPOC, LGBTQIA2S+ issues and have a liberation-based perspective which is a deep understanding of critical consciousness and structural/systemic challenges that are of concern. (*You must be able to speak on this and how this informs your therapeutic practice.)

    8. Organized and able to submit progress notes and respond to emails in a timely manner, in accordance with our office policies.

    9. Comfortable in virtual environments.

    10. Comfortable with networking and not afraid of marketing

    11. Good communication skills

    Compensation:

    1. $40-45 per session starting compensation depending on licensure and experience.

    2. Per session rates are increased for specialized workshops and groups as opportunities arise.

    Employee status for LMSWs/LSWs/MHC interns accruing hours will receive:

    1. Psychology Today or marketing platform paid for.

    2. Accrued sick leave and additional PTO for 15+ hours

  • We are currently seeking a skilled and to support clients navigating the impact of employment discrimination through short-term, therapeutic sessions. This is a contract position offered on a client-by-client basis,primarily involve providing diagnostic assessments, evaluating mental status, and producing strong clinical documentation. 

     Sessions are short-term and goal-focused, but deeply rooted in emotional attunement, clinical precision, and social context.

    You are someone who:

    • Is an LCSW, LMHC, in New York  (preferred).

    • Has clinical experience. This is required. 

    • Has a deep understanding of differential diagnosis and DSM-informed clinical decision-making.

    • Is experienced with writing detailed mental health assessments and evaluations to support legal or employment-related cases.

    • Can hold space for trauma related to systemic oppression, workplace harm, and marginalization.

    • Brings a critical consciousness lens to your work — understanding how systems of power shape mental health experiences and outcomes.

    • Is confident and skilled in clinical documentation and organizing concise, mental health reports.

    • Values flexibility and can take on clients as referrals arise, based on your availability.

    The work with us:

    • Provide short-term therapy and support sessions for clients experiencing employment discrimination.

    • Complete mental health assessments and clinical reports to support legal proceedings, often with short timelines.

    • Maintain accurate, timely case notes and documentation aligned with best practices and our organizational standards.

    • Collaborate with our team as needed in service of the client’s wellbeing and legal advocacy.

    • Maintain a liberation-based framework throughout all client engagement and documentation.

    Requirements:

    • LCSW/LMHC preferred (We welcome inquiries from other independently licensed clinicians with strong clinical documentation skills.)

    • Experience with diagnosis, assessment, and writing mental health documentation.

    • Capacity to hold short-term clinical relationships with intentionality and care.

    • Demonstrated experience or training in trauma-informed, and anti-oppressive therapeutic frameworks.

    • Strong communication skills and attention to detail in clinical writing.

    Compensation:

    • Per session, contractor-based pay. $85-$250 a session.

    • Must be available for 4 regularly scheduled hours between the hours of 9a-5p EST. Monday through Friday, to facilitate communication and coordination with our staff. All other hours for billing can be scheduled at your discretion based on our billing schedule.

    Job Description:

    We are a large and rapidly growing psychotherapy office seeking a biller to support existing staff with Medicare & New York Medicaid claims. At the moment there are approximately 20-30 clients who utilize these plans, and this number of clients and plans will continue to grow over the coming months.

    We currently accept Medicare, NY Medicaid, as well as some New York Medicare Advantage and NY Managed Medicaid plans. We will be paneling with more insurances over the coming months.

    This role involves expertise and working closely with our internal administrative team and external insurance providers to ensure accurate billing, eligibility verification, and claim follow-ups.

    The ideal candidate must have experience in healthcare billing, a strong understanding of Medicaid/Medicare policies in New York state, including CAQH and the Pecos billing system. You must have the ability to work independently be highly self-directive while maintaining clear, and concise communication with the team.

    Unfortunately, we are only able to accept US-based applicants for the role at this time.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Medicaid/Medicare Billing:

      • Verify eligibility for New York Medicaid and Medicare clients within 1 business day.

      • Bill and submit claims for Medicare and Medicaid clients daily, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all applicable regulations.

      • Follow up on aging invoices.

      • Proactively manage denied or rejected claims, tracking and resolving any discrepancies.

      • Communicate clearly and effectively with internal teams regarding claim status, actions taken, and unresolved issues.

      • Ensure claims are processed and paid accurately, appealing any apparent errors or discrepancies.

      • Contribute to internal audits by identifying and resolving potential concerns.

      • Confirm receipt of payments, adjusting ledger as needed.

      • Audit and track progress notes and incomplete encounters for compliance and billing accuracy.

      • Maintain and organize access to insurance portals and logins securely.

      • Assist in managing communication with auditors, including responding to requests and ensuring proper documentation is submitted on time.

      • Additional administrative duties as assigned

    Key Skills and Traits:

    • Problem Solving: Ability to troubleshoot billing issues, resolve discrepancies, and find solutions independently. Must be comfortable with detailed and granular checks on claims and payments.

    • Clear Communication: Ability to explain billing processes and insurance concepts clearly, in plain language. Must be able to write clear, concise emails, and reports.

    • Attention to Detail: Must ensure all billing tasks, claims, and eligibility checks are handled accurately and in a timely manner.

    • Proactivity: Ability to independently follow up on tasks and anticipate issues before they arise.

    • Independent Worker: Must be comfortable taking ownership of billing and credentialing tasks with minimal oversight.

    • Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and meet deadlines to ensure the billing process is not delayed.

    Requirements:

    • Experience with Medicaid/Medicare billing and claims management.

    • Strong understanding of the billing process, including eligibility verification, claim submission, and follow-up.

    • Familiarity with insurance portals and provider systems such as eMedNY and PECOS.

    • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex billing information to a variety of audiences.

    • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.

    • Must be detail-oriented with the ability to problem-solve independently.

    • Comfortable with feedback and adjusting work practices based on team needs.

    • Proficient with technology, including Google Workspace, Slack, and video conferencing.

    Additional Notes:

    • This is an hourly position with flexible work hours, but clear timelines and task completion are essential.

    • Must be able to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.

    • Understanding of credentialing and recertification a plus.
